Just one die variety exists for the flowing hair dollars dated 1794, and it displays the following diagnostic characteristics:

Liberty has fuller rounder cheek and more pronounced jaw than 1795 dollars
Highest curl is thin Stars to right of Liberty with two points toward the denticles instead of one
3rd curl (from bottom) is
faint on most examples
Blunt tip to necottom" height="30" align="left"
First star near date  
 
"Lobster-claw"-like pair of leaves attached to second T in STATES

Leaf almost touches right corner of F in OF
21 leaves and 10 berries on left branch of wreath 21 leaves and 9 berries on right branch of wreath
Edge with incused lettering reads:
HUNDRED CENTS
ONE DOLLAR OR UNIT
with incised ornaments between the words
Thin ribbon wrapped around branches with no prominent knot
Long flat rock extending to the left of eagle's feet Curious narrow denticle attached to the left side of a normal-sized denticle
